Trump Media Moves Over $200 Million in Bitcoin as Losses Pile Up: Arkham

Bitcoin Addresses attributed to Trump Media & Technology Group (DJT) by blockchain analytics firm Arkham moved more than 2,650 BTC, or about $204 million worth, to Crypto.com addresses late Thursday night.

The big move took place via two transfers on Thursday evening around 8pm ET. Details about the purpose of the move were not disclosed and a company representative did not immediately comment Decode request for comment, although transfers to centralized exchanges are often a precursor to asset sales.

The publicly traded company bought $2 billion worth of BTC and Bitcoin-related securities last year tried to protect itself against ‘discrimination by financial institutions’.

Bitcoin addresses connected to the company now hold approximately $533 million worth of BTC, according to Arkham. Earlier this year, the company transferred approximately 3.2 BTC or $245,000 to Crypto.com.

The company, which recently had total assets of approximately $2.1 billion, reported a net loss of nearly $406 million in the first quarter of 2026, largely due to “non-cash losses, including unrealized losses on digital assets, pledged digital assets and equities.”

Bitcoin was trading around $119,000 on the day the company first announced its purchase last July, but the top crypto asset recently changed hands at $76,657, down 0.6% in the past 24 hours and now down 3.3% in the past week.

Shares of President Trump-backed DJT have risen nearly 1% since the opening bell on Friday, recently changing hands at $8.02. At that point, the company’s shares are down more than 39% this year and are 70% away from their 52-week high of $27.00.

Earlier this week, the company – which also controls social media platform Truth Social –scrapped its plans to launch Bitcoin and joint Bitcoin/Ethereum ETFs.
