Pro XRP lawyer John Deaton has criticized MSM journalist Stephanie Rule for mixing up Bitcoin with the Hawk Tuah Girl’s scam rug pull coin.

In a post on the X platform, Deaton expressed disappointment at Rule alleging that she is intentionally mixing up the two to push an agenda for Democrats.

“I’m disappointed because, although we likely disagree on certain policies, I’ve always believed her to be a bit above some of the others in the MSM,” said Deaton.

“She’s too smart not to understand the difference which means she’s intentionally conflating the two to push the @ewarren (and) @GaryGensler anti-crypto agenda,” he added.

I must admit I’m disappointed, surprised and a bit shocked at @SRuhle for conflating Bitcoin with the Hawk Tuah Girl’s scam rug pull coin.

I’m shocked because Stephanie Rule is a very smart journalist who’s very experienced with financial markets.

Responding to the post, some enthusiasts concurred with Deaton adding it’s a shame for a seemingly seasoned journalist like Rule to mix up Bitcoin with scam coins.
